Dr. Samira Iran
Samira Iran is a sustainability researcher specializing in sufficient fashion consumption, consumer behavior, and alternative economies. From 2021 to 2024, she was a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at Technische Universität Berlin (TUB) and led projects at the Hot or Cool Institute in Germany. Between 2016 and 2021, she contributed to two real-world laboratory projects—one at Ulm University focused on sustainable textile consumption, and another at TUB exploring education for sustainable clothing consumption.
Her wider research interests include the sharing and care economies, collaborative consumption, and the cultural dimensions of sustainability. Samira is also a co-founder of Fashion Revolution Iran and a member of the executive committee of the Sustainable Fashion Consumption Network.
